LunaZeno, the peaceful and artistic alternative is a spacious and private, one room vacation rental or Bed & Breakfast. This is best suited for two people who enjoy waking to the sounds of rooster crowing, ducks quacking and birds chirping. A place for the romantic traveller on a budget, or a family with children.
LunaZeno is an apartment in a large log cabin situated on a 4 ½ acre mountain property, placed on top of a hill over looking the Peaceful Valley with 1 acre devoted to organic vegetable garden, free range chickens and a few ducks. It has a distinctive Italian-Asian ambiance
We are located in the country, yet ...only 13 miles from cosmopolitan downtown Asheville.
Leicester is a green farming area with mountain winding roads and the real local people. We share this space with horses, cows and goats.
This is an artistically designed, cozy and romantic space offering a quiet, private get-away.
Mood and ambience depend upon the season. Each season has its own particular benefits.
In Early Spring, the trees are still bare and light from the West fills the patio. The late afternoon sun enters the room through the large bathroom windows. The call of spring peepers is constant.
By Mid-Spring and Early Summer, trees bushes and flowers are in full bloom. On clear days the patio is sun drenched. Shade can be found in the space below the upper deck. Sounds of summer insects fill the air and at night, fireflies light the sky.
In Mid- Summer and Early Fall the days are long hot and lazy. The loud call of the cicadas lasts through September, leaves turn color and fall and the air becomes cooler, an excellent time for a wood fire, pleasing music and a warm bath.
For Winter everything is cold and quiet. Sometimes trees are covered with snow but,mainly, winter here is a season of light, especially in the late afternoon as the setting sun can be seen through the trees.
Fall and winter are also the time to see the stars as the hazy skies of Spring and Summer are gone.
The LunaZeno patio has the least light pollution so the sky can be quite dark with many stars. A higher, non-private deck that one is welcome to use offers a fine view of eastern mountain ranges and adjoining pastures.
Come enjoy the space of a 500 plus square foot cozy, artistic studio for the price of a bedroom! All for you!. Relax to the chirping of more than 15 species of birds on your private patio. Pick your own aromatic herbs ( in season) or, free range eggs at our family mini farm. If you wish, you can save restaurant expenses using the fully equipped kitchen or, the charcoal broiler to cook your own meals.
